Coleman Furniture in Ventura, California - Their Delivery Service Sucks!

4.0
Details
I purchased a sofa and loveseat the first time. I wasn't in a hurry and so the delivery time worked for me. After the pieces were set up, the delivery company let me know that 2 of the cushions were missing but no problem, they would ship them to me. NO……it took about another month to get them. First the fabric arrived and then the stuffing. I had to put it together….. Now, I'm trying to get the matching recliner. After waiting 3 weeks, it was supposed to be delivered last Wed. They were a no-show. I called when there was just 10 minutes left of the time frame they gave me, they said they would be arriving in about 15 min. No call, no-show. I have to wait another 2-3 weeks. Prices are good but this is my last order with them. When the recliner arrives, I will check it over completely before signing the papers….any damage and I will not accept it. Recliner sells elsewhere now for $75 less! Delivery service is company in Chino CA.

Resolved: Coleman Furniture in Bowling Green, Ohio - Breach of contract

Update by user Mar 03, 2016

Being I was asked to update my review I did receive my couch. I will not be doing any further business with the company, but the sectional is what I was expecting and what I wanted.

Original review posted by user Feb 08, 2016

I ordered a sectional about a month and a half ago. When I submitted the order it was stated that delivery was 2-6 days. After I submitted I got an email stating it would be 2-4 weeks, so obviously I called in and they told me that it was 2-6 days after the local manufacturer had the product on hand. A couple days later I realized that the money was back in my account so I called in and they told me that the order was on back-order, and it would take 5-6 weeks. Mind you I had to contact them for this information. I have called in multiple times over the last two and a half weeks and have been told that it was in route and would be to the manufacturer for the last 2 weeks now. Now I just got off the phone with the supervisor who informed me "that she can almost guarantee that it is in route," (her words, not mine). Now that the process has taken so long another company has the same sectional at a lower price so with a 3-4 day delivery, so I informed the supervisor of this and that I am going to call that company to make sure they have it in stock and will be cancelling my order and her only response was that if I wanted to do that I would have to pay a restock fee and that I agreed to these terms and conditions. So now I am stuck in a dilemma; there were other products I was looking forward to ordering through this company and with all of this unnecessary stress and inconvenience I will not be doing any additional business with this company.

Coleman Furniture in Stuart, Florida - NOTHING RIGHT

Coleman Furniture - NOTHING RIGHT
Coleman Furniture - NOTHING RIGHT
ORDERED WHITE STONE TABLES AS PICTURED ON THEIR SITE. FIRST AND FOREMOST THEIR DELIVERY SERVICE IN MY AREA REALLY SUCKS. A DELIVERY COMPANY THAT ONLY AT BEST IS IN MY AREA ONCE A WEEK AT A SPECIFIC TIME AND MAYBE NOT EVEN THAT. WHAT FURNITURE COMPANY HAS DELIVERY ONLY ONCE A WEEK IN YOUR AREA. CERTAINLY NOT REPUTABLE ONES. HAD TO WAIT AND WAIT. FINALLY THEY GOT NASTY TO ME AND SAID THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME STORAGE CHARGES. WHAT TOLD THEM SEND IT BACK TO COLEMAN. FOUND SOMEONE TO TAKE THE DELIVERY FOR ME AND THEN FIND OUT THEY ARE NOT WHITE, BUT A LIGHT BROWN. THEN ON TOP OF THAT ONE PIECE WAS DAMAGED AND HAD TO GO BACK. ALSO NO RUBBER CUPS BETWEEN THE GLASS TOP AND THE STONE SURFACE. OK ABOUT A HALF HOUR I GET A CALL FROM A GUY BY THE NAME OF MICHAEL WHO WAS NOT COURTEOUS TO SAY THE LEAST AND HE STARTED TO TELL ME THAT BECAUSE I REFUSED THE FURNITURE I WILL BE CHARGED FEES. WHAT THE??? THIS COUNTRY HAS LAWS THAT SPECIFICALLY IDENTIFY THAT IF SOMETHING IS BROKEN WHEN DELIVERED THEN YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO RETURN IT. WHY WOULD YOU PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT IS BROKEN. WELL EVIDENTLY MICHAEL DID NOT HAVE HIS FACTS STRAIGHT BECAUSE HE THOUGHT THE WHOLE ORDER WAS DENIED. UNREAL. NOT ONLY BAD DELIVERY BUT SENDING ME LIGHT BROWN TABLES INSTEAD OF WHITE REALLY SUCKS. STAY AWAY IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE THOROUGHLUY DISAPPOINTED. look at the pictures the first one is what is on their site and the brown one is what arrived.

Coleman Furniture in Albuquerque, New Mexico - "White glove deliver" ya right!

After waiting 8 weeks to receive my furniture by "white glove delivery" it is now sitting in my driveway in boxes! I was told it would take longer to receive my furniture because of this supposed white glove service! They would not even un box it so I can inspect it! This company has been less than stellar and I will never buy from them again! Of course it is a Saturday and there is no one available to help me with this problem so there my furniture sits!

Coleman Furniture has worked out a satisfactory solution to the problem.

Original review posted by user Feb 04, 2016

Your delivery company cancelled the scheduled delivery on my furniture. The delivery company scheduled my delivery for Sunday, January 10th. On Friday, January 8th at 6:30-7:00 pm I received a call that my order was cancelled because I was told they could not fit my furniture on the truck. Coleman Furniture's complaint should be with Alpha Omega, not me. If I order furniture from Amazon, I receive it in a few days. For my delivery from Coleman, I had already waited 6 weeks. Alpha Omega cancelled me. When I contacted you, you could not give me another date for delivery. I was not going to stay in limbo on this purchase. I needed furniture. As you know there is a dispute over the charge to my credit card. I refuse to pay any restocking fee. Again, it was not my fault the furniture was not delivered. Today I am writing a review of the service and treatment I have received from Coleman Furniture. I am also considering legal action on this matter if the charge is not completely removed from my American Express card within a week from today. I view the treatment from Coleman Furniture as harassment.

To whom this may concern: I have been trying to communicate with Coleman Furniture and Guardian Warranty Protection Plan (which I purchased) for quite a while now to try to fix this furniture i purchased (did not get for free). I have never come across poor customer service like Coleman Furniture and Guardian a warranty ever in my life. I purchased this furniture taking the word of a Coleman furniture employee telling me that they are very easy to clean, and now I know he only told me that to get a sale, which is terrible because I would not have purchased this material if I knew that they are THE WORST MATERIAL EVER and impossible to keep clean. A few droplets of water dropped on my couch and sure enough there were stains that never went away. So then I called guardian warranty company that I purchased to help and they sent me a fabric cleaner that further ruined the material and bleached my couch. How great is that. When I first received the couches they came with 3 hard (glue like) spots on them. Initially I thought it was water or just wet so I didn't think too much about it and forgot about it, then came around to it another day noticing it's still there, tried to Clean it with water snd sure enough didn't come off and only lightened the material I tried to clean with water. Also the tufting (buttons) are popping off of the love seat. Don't understand how furniture this new can possibly ruin so quickly with very light usage. All I am trying to do is have something that I have purchased (did not get for free or discounted) fixed. That's all. I paid for the furniture, I paid for the warranty and all I want to do is get what I paid for. If these companies are bogus/scams or fraudulent please let me know bluntly so that I can stop trying to get my furniture fixed and just throw them out (and almost $2000 down the drain). I need someone professional and who actually cares about the customer to please contact me and help me with these issues I've had ever since I purchased this furniture (which was a big mistake). I have been going back and forth with Coleman furniture and Guardian warranty for the past 4 months trying to get someone to just come and fix this furniture that I paid for. -A.A.

Coleman Furniture - Buyer Beware

Absolutely horrible experience that after 3 very long months still has not been resolved. Delay after delay on furniture delivery than when it finally arrived, the furniture was damaged and unfortunately, I did not discover the damage until after delivery crew left. Now, I have to pay more money in order to have a replacement shipped. Don't be fooled by the price, although it is good, you will end up paying much much more in frustration, stress, wasted time, and then replacement shipping. No bargain at all. Pay more with a trusted company and in the end it will cost you less.

This is by far the worst Company I have ever purchased from. I made two purchases within days of each other and both were not good. One I did take delivery of but not the other. It's been almost 8 weeks and nothing but false promises. Major delays, unreliable and no show delivery companies. Coleman Furniture has Zero Customer Service. They don't care. There is no Management to discuss and resolve issues. The only option they present is to charge the CUSTOMER a 25% restocking fee for their own deficiencies. It's horrible. I've had to be my own advocate and make multiple phone calls only to be further frustrated and still no resolve. Any cost savings I thought I would achieve is all lost. Lost time, multiple phone calls and total frustration.

Coleman Furniture in Atlanta, Georgia - Not concerned about people

From everything I have read, most people seem happy and many negative reviews involve not understanding how buying "real" furniture works, or from not reading the instructions on the website detailing how to accept or decline furniture and the consequences of canceling or returning. My personal issue lies elsewhere, customer relations and service. First off is the warranty they push so hard for you to buy. Read customer reviews before you agree of course, but beyond that just try to ask them for a copy of the full terms or contract before you pay for it. I have, at least 6 times now, and they will always 'get back to me on that'. Want to know how to know a warranty is a sham? If you can't read the terms before paying for it. Second, the email and chat replies seem to come from a real, helpful, concerned human, but asking tougher questions (like above) gets met with stalling, followed by a follow up email a day later reminding you that that awesome sale price you were seeing is about to expire. Great, so I ask AGAIN to see the warranty terms, and since I most likely will decline that anyway at this point, when would my furniture ship? No answer again. If they can't estimate shipping for some reason at least tell me that, or give me a '4 to 8 weeks' estimate. It's not hard. They seem more concerned with closing a quick sale than building a relationship. Paying an extra $100 locally is looking like a good idea.

Coleman Furniture - Ashley Furniture Martinsburg-Meadow Sofa Review from Philadelphia, Tennessee

We ordered a sofa and loveseat set from Coleman on 9/28/15. Our product was finally delivered on 10/30/15. We refused the shipment because the loveseat was damaged. The wooden trim on the loveseat had a huge gash in it and the frame was warped. After many, many, many conversations that were full of untruths and scripted lines with Coleman, we were promised they would have it fixed to manufactuerer specs. On 12/30/15, our furniture was once agained delivered and once again rejected. Both pieces are damaged. Many gashes and scratches in the wooden trim on both pieces. There was two new holes in the loveseat that were not previosly present. We called Coleman immediately to notify them of the problem. They keep wanting to blame the delivery company for the damage. However, my contract is not with the delivery company nor did I choose this delivery outfit. Three months later, we still have no furniture in our livingroom and all Coleman will say is they will send a tech out to fix it. I feel they have had more than adequate time to resove this issue and have failed miserably. They have already billed our credit card company and we are stuck with a bill and no furniture. They refuse to credit our account or send us new product. We are at a loss as of what to do. I don't think the furniture is fixable unless they take it back to the manufacuring plant to replace the fabric with *** in it and replace all the damaged wood. Can anyone tell us if we have any other options available to us as a consumer.
