Coleman Furniture - These guys are thieves. Buyer beware.
I bought a set of Ashley living room furniture from Coleman last summer. I had done a lot of research prior to purchasing, and Coleman appeared to have what I wanted for the best price. They also had an additional warranty, which I purchased. After all, furniture is a big expenditure, and I wanted to make sure I was covered. It took almost a month to get my furniture, and the delivery date was not ideal as I was due to leave town the same day, but after they assured me I would be the first delivery of the day, I agreed to stay a little later and have them deliver that day rather than possibly wait another month. I had been under the impression that “first delivery of the day” was going to be around 7 or 8am. They didn’t get there until after 10, and when they did, my furniture was in pieces. They had to take another hour to put it together in my living room. Normally I would be more understanding of something like that, but again, I was supposed to be leaving town and driving 10 hours. So for the delivery people to be 2-3 hours late (without calling), and then take ANOTHER hour of my time for something that should have already been done was rather irritating. The guys were nice, but still! Fast forward a couple months. My armchair already has a crack in the decorative wood panel on the front, even though it’s the least used piece of furniture in the set. Also, my sleeper sofa is badly sagging on one side. Upon further inspection, it’s because the piece of OSB (OSB, y’all...not even MDF, let alone solid wood) that held the sleeper frame onto the sofa frame is shattered, making the bed crooked, and the seats sag. It also made the frame twist, which made the wood paneling come loose on the opposite side. Disappointing to say the least, for furniture that’s not even a year old. Oh, but wait! I have a warranty! So I got in contact with the company, who requested pictures of the damage. I obliged, and even labeled them for clarity. And I waited for their response, being relieved that I’d had the foresight to get the warranty in the first place, as even the casual observer can see that this is likely to be a rather pricey repair. Therefore, it goes without saying that I was completely shocked when they told me they would give me $100. For the entire repair. Seriously? But I know I’m dealing with an insurance company, and never to accept the first offer, especially if it’s obviously low-ball. So I emailed back and told them that I didn’t think that was going to be near enough, and that I would expect them to up that offer if I got a lot of estimates that were substantially above that. They asked for those estimates, so I did some research, and got estimates from three different companies, the cheapest of which was $450. The guy was even nice enough to email me an invoice so I could show Coleman that I wasn’t just blowing smoke. I sent all of this over to them. The response? Well, read for yourself: “Hi Myristica, The manufacture has advised the issues you have reported can be repaired by a local furniture technician. The allotment amount should cover the cost of the repair on both items. As a courtesy, we can approve up to to $200.00 to have the items brought back to manufacture standards. Please see below for a technician service in your area. Furniture Solutions Network (Link removed) Have a good day!” Yeah, a good day it’s anything but. I’m not done fighting this battle, and the outcome may end up being marginally acceptable, at least in regards to the condition of my furniture and what I end up paying for it. If so, I will update my review. But this run-around and refusal to make this right WITHOUT a fight has lost them a customer. And considering the actual quality of this furniture, they’ve lost Ashley a customer as well. These problems aren’t the only ones, they are just the only ones I was trying to actually get the company to repair. The underside of the ottoman was all ripped up, which I discovered when I tilted it to put felt on the feet to protect my floor. The love seat is also sagging way more than it should at less than 1 year old. So I definitely would recommend you save yourself both money and headache, and shop elsewhere. They are only too happy to take your money, but once they have it, you cease to matter to them at all.

So basically you are pissed because they found someone who will fix it for less money than you? And even provided you with a link for that company? Sounds like you were looking to make a buck.

I totally agree with this. They do take your money and will not let go even when you have proof of their wrong!! Never buy with them

Coleman Furniture - Unkept Promise

2.3
Details
Before I committed to purchasing a dining room set on September 24th from Coleman Furniture, I specifically asked "if the table was in stock and how long would it take for delivery". The sales lady indicated there were 3 tables in stock and shipment would be within 2 weeks. Fast forward to 3 weeks later and I still do not have dining room furniture. Ordinarily a delay would not be a problem, but I specifically asked about delivery so that I could plan for my house warming on October 19th. There's still 3 days to hold out hope for delivery and maybe Coleman Furniture will make good on their promise, but my gut feeling is they have my money and could careless when I receive my table and my house warming is going to be ruined cause I can't have a sit down dinner party without a table!

Coleman Furniture - First and last time

1.7
Details
We bought a house in the beginning of aug 2019. Put the money aside to order everything at once. Ordered 3 bedrooms, 2 living room sets and a dinning room. Figured the wait would be worth the savings. Its October and still havent received everything! And to top it off everytime we call we get new dates and new excuses. We canceled one living room set and one bedroom set and went straight to Ashley funiture. Had the funiture in the house and set up within a week and half. The delivery date is nothing but guesses and b.s from Coleman. The only good experience with this company is the gentleman that delivered the kids bedroom set. Other than that i would not trust a word from the website and / or customer service. And hope whatever you get is what you expected because if not make sure you read the return policy before hand!!

ago Shop at goodwill first I thought at first this was going to be a great purchase I was excited, I ordered on 3 July 2019 the site says " quick ship" is also guarantees an entertainment center will be delivered in 1-2 weeks on their Twitter site. So ordered the gabrielle bedroom set.. plus and extra bed and nightstand . I asked if they serviced military installation and they replied yes. A week later I called and asked about the quick ship as my email stated 6 weeks.. they stated it was only for small items , and the tag was in error and they forgive me 15$ off my next purchase. Aug 28th they charged my credit card 2k and still no furniture. I inquired about the delay. I spoken with connie, chaniv , Cierra among other from the company . Forrest from blue truck delivery called to set up delivery in early September.. 2 days later I received a call say their " truck " was broken " and they had to reschedule. I assume they have only 1 truck. I again called.. mid September Forrest set up a delivery, 2 drivers show up they couldn't get on post BECAUSE they could pass the back ground check.. lol.. again I call Coleman. I recieved an email saying I would get 100$ off and my delivery would be a priority. 2 weeks later Forrest called to deliver on a Thursday.... he has to reschedule for a Friday because his employees could once again NOT pass the background check to get on post.. lol.. finally on September 20 , a crew can actually get on post.. but it gets worse. The foot board to one bed is destroyed .. and the other is damaged.. the *** on one nightstand is stripped. You cant leave a review on the Coleman site.. they delete them.. so I leave them here.. I have photos.. text and emails.. ms Cierra called and asked me to change me review because they would have furniture here in a week... if that's possible.. why has it taken a week? They fluff reviews and then a bad review is buried by fake reviews.... .. the furniture is Ashley that has flaws that doesn't meet Ashley standards.. that has minor flaws.. for instance my headboard has a gap. On the right side.. that couldn't be sold .. I'm not sure if Ashley would allow their tags left on.. etc.. also.. when you correspondent with this company... their signature block says renegade NOT Coleman... so it all seems suspicious.... you have to literally stop payment to accomplish anything.. if you want a nightmare and wait 3 to 6 months to get something choose this company.. if you want criminals that cant pass a simple background check in your home.. choose this company.. if you want returns , and warranty to be a nightmare choose this company... if you want a hassle free purchase for relatively the same price most Ashley stores.. which is the same furniture HAVE the same exact pricing without the nightmare on all the major holidays... update 9PM.. when you complain.. about their substandard customer service they try and threaten you with 15% restocking fees and shipping fees.. look at Coleman furniture Twitter 5 months to get a couch , 7 months for a desk.. remember " Fair credit protection act"... use any company but this... dont allow this company to bully you

Coleman Furniture - Missing backorder drawer

1.7
Details
we ordered this bed in July, and it was delivered the beginning of September. When it was delivered the large side drawer was completely damaged. The delivery company took it away as it was unusable and contacted Coleman Furniture for a replacement. I was notified that the drawer was coming from from overseas and was backordered until November. They tried to work around this issue by ordering a new under-bed storage and that came today without the drawer. I’m now told it’s on back order until mid November. I’m concerned that this is a safety issue for my 3, 4 and 6 year old children and I let Coleman furniture know. As the bed is in one of my kids rooms and they have complete access to the underside of the bed. They tried to rectify this by offering me a gift card or of “goodwill”. Why would I want to spend more money at a place that has left me with a safety issue for my children for who knows how long. The part is in backorder until November, but then needs to be shipped form overseas, it will probably be 6 months from my initial order before I receive my complete purchase.

Coleman Furniture - Terrible

I wouldn’t take free furniture from this company. The regret of dealing with the crap company and giving them my money is deep. WOW! STOP AND READ BBB website!!!!! It will save you months of aggravation. I usually read all reviews before I make a purchase and I did this time as well, BUT not BBB and against my better judgement I proceeded with my order with Coleman Furniture. For the life of me I cannot see how this company stays in business. I can assure you it is not from previous customer recommendations. I cannot speak of the quality of the furniture because I have yet to receive the furniture. I was told by their very rude, nasty and uninformed rep that my furniture was scheduled to be delivered one date and is now pushed back again and again and again. It has been a month since Colman has charged my credit card and my furniture hasn’t made it to its first destination. My furniture should have been in my home by now according to Coleman! You will get every run of the mill excuse "computers are down", "driver was out sick"," our policy states dates are subject to change" Complete BS! Representatives are among some of the nastiest people I have dealt with, Melissa B in particular was a real treat. They don't care about you just your $$. I have paid for a living room set for a month now and I have no clue as to when I will receive my furniture. Oh and if you receive damaged furniture or would like to cancel.....I hope your hired a lawyer to read "Their" terms and conditions because I can assure you, you are going to lose money while they profit. Like many have stated previously this is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. There are many other places to shop from., stay away from this nightmare.

Coleman Furniture in Somerville, Massachusetts - Terrible Fraud

Terrible fraud to take an internet order for over $400 , which processed immediately on my credit card and then less than hour later, send an email that "oops - order cancelled" for not having this in stock and will refund in some delayed time, and they already have my money. I then went online and noticed many people with terrible reviews of the same. Crooks. They will probably also steal my credit card info...I'll be on high alert.

Coleman Furniture - Worst furniture experience in my life

1.7
Details
If I could give them a 1/2 star I would. My initial order was on 8/5/19. They "sold" an item that was discontinued. Before I could replace the discontinued item with a chest of drawers, they processed my order and said it was shipping on 8-6-19. To purchase the chest that matched the original order would cost an additional $200.00. I then received an email on 8/8/19 stating my order shipped on that date. Which means they lied and could have added the Chest. I think they wanted to upcharge that item. Fast forward 6-7 weeks. I had to call to see when My original order would be delivered, they did not communicate at all. Their web site clearly states that delivery is 2-4 weeks. The company that they use for delivery and set up of furniture had the items for 2 weeks. They scheduled a delivery time with me on 8-17-9 at 12 pm and at 3 pm on the same day, Coleman furniture called me to state that the furniture I ordered was damaged. The Furniture technician did not show up on said day to fix furniture. From order date to possible delivery date (8-5-to 9-24). That is almost 2 months. They wanted me to accept furniture that had been repaired (so they say), they no longer carried the furniture I ordered, so I could not add on the Chest needed to complete the set. They charged my credit card from day one and I began paying interest on items I did not have. The emails and communication they send contradicts it self. They basically say they are customer orientated, but nothing they do backs that up. I was even told by the sales representative - Melissa- that I could not speak to a supervisor. The supervisor would not say anything different then what she said. Don't trust them. After all the time, energy and effort I have wasted on them, I have to pay a 15% restocking fee and I am back to searching for a bedroom set for my daughter. At first glance their reviews seem great. Do some more research and you will see how they really do business.

Coleman Furniture in Bethesda, Maryland - Chair makes loud noise when reclining

1.5
Details
I purchased an Ashley power recliner. It was fine for 10 days. Then the leather on sides of chair and footrest started rubbing making a very loud screeching sound when raising or lowering. Coleman will only refund me $150 after i hire and pay my own repairmen to fix it. I have contacted 4 companies and they are either too far away or the local companies said they really dont know what can be done. I have rubbed it with leather conditioner, shoe polish, saddle soap, vaseline and powder. That is only a 1 day fix. Angry

Coleman Furniture - Power Recliner sounds like helicopter.

1.7
Details
We bought a Warnerton Ashley Power Recliner in July. 2 weeks after owning, the leather in the sides of seat and armrest started rubbing making a VERY LOUD NOISE. Sounds like a helicopter taking off. I contacted Coleman and they said they would give me $150 toward a repair and 2 companies to contact. Both would not come to my area. I contacted 3 other companies in my area. 1 is too busy and the other 2 didnt think it could be fixed. They suggested rubbing it with leather conditioner. I tried this and it temporarily fixed it until it rubbed off. So, I am stuck with a brand new $800 chair. When I called Ashley, they said I had to deal with Coleman. Coleman told me that is all Ashley would do is offer to repair it. I'm not paying $150 out of my pocket and waiting for reimbursement from Coleman to find out that it cant be fixed.
